Youth Rally & SOS Pictures

Last night we attended a joint activity with Evergreen FWB Youth Group in Conway. Bro. Dustin Smith invited Bro. Josh to give the devotion and our teens to join in on the fun! We had a great time playing BIG ball volleyball, basketball, relay races, and in the inflatable obstacle course. The meal was delicious.

Bro. Josh delivered God's Word in a way that spoke to many hearts. His devotion came from the book of I Samuel. His message was that we must be faithful in little things for God to use us to do big things for him. Like David cared for his father's sheep and was responsible in his duties, we should also be faithful in the tasks God calls us to today.
The youth of Evergreen were lots of fun to be around. We really appreciate them inviting us to share in this activity!

Earlier this month we hosted the Soldiers of the Savior Youth Rally here at Bethany. We appreciate all of you who volunteered your time to make this activity a success! On Friday night several churches were represented with seventy teens present and about ninety people in total attendance. We began the evening with "Missing in Action," an activity at the mall in which several people had volunteered to dress up in a way that would be hard to recognize them. Then the teens had to find the MIA people and get their autographs. The team with the most signatures won. After returning to the church and having dinner, Bro. Blake Coghill of Peace FWB brought the evening message. The Lord used him in a mighty way to speak to hearts.

On Saturday, we met at the church, then headed over to the ballfield for volleyball, softball, and relay races. We returned to the church for a meal of hamburgers and hotdogs. After lunch, Bro. Josh brought a message that God used to stir hearts and challenge those in attendance. We had a great time and really appreciate everyone who came out to be apart of the Rally. We look forward to hosting one again in the future!

Last week, Joshua and I had the opportunity to take our juniors (8-12 year olds) to Harvest Time Bible Camp in Ellensboro, NC directed by Bro. Steven Brackeen. It was about three and a half hours away from the church and worth every minute of the drive!!! We were excited to learn when we got there that Beacon, Hilltop, and High Point were the three other churches that would be there during the week!

The activities included chapel messages, devotions, horse back riding, swimming, water games, team competition, crafts, paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, archery, basketball, game room, and so much more! The kids were kept busy with a full activity schedule and solid Biblical preaching. We were glad to see some college friends and catch up with what the Lord is doing in there lives.

The Lord really blessed our hearts as well as the hearts of our kids last week with several receiving assurance of salvation, one answering the call to missionary service, many praying for lost loved ones and determining to share the gospel with them. Praise the Lord for His blessings during the week of camp!
